Hayes Davidson has launched HD Cubed, a book with a difference.
More than just a collection of our work from recent years, HD Cubed invites readers to go beyond the printed still images—using our custom-built digital tools to interact with projects in exciting, immersive ways.
We’ve published portfolio books before, but as our work has become increasingly dynamic and experiential, we needed a format that could not only showcase our projects, but truly demonstrate them.
The book-as-object invites exploration. Packed with playful surprises, it seamlessly integrates print and digital. A chip embedded in the cover allows you to download our app, unlocking interactive experiences triggered by visual cues throughout the pages—360° views, cinemagraphs, 'super-zoom' images, films, and augmented reality models.
Created in collaboration with BOB, HD Cubed combines elements of our brand identity with the sensory experience of a beautifully crafted book and the immersive capabilities of digital technology. Its unique cube format immediately changes the way you engage with a book, inviting you to orientate it in different ways and discover the hidden virtual layers as you explore.
