Developer Westbank is proposing a new masterplan for the regeneration of downtown San Jose, California. Long focused on the digital space, the area’s built environment has been largely ignored and is now undergoing a radical transformation to create a low-carbon live/work campus with healthy, inspirational homes and workspaces for a new generation of innovators. The Westbank Campus is being delivered by an exceptional ensemble of architects and will support the evolution of a new walkable community, with sustainable buildings and spaces and greater access to nature.
A seamless combination of visualisations and live location filming.

We have collaborated with Westbank to produce a suite of images to support the launch and marketing of its overarching vision and of individual projects, including Bjarke Ingels Group’s reimagined Bank of Italy Tower, an iconic and historic structure which will be adapted to create a new cultural hub for the expanding city, and Park Habitat by Kengo Kuma, an integrated public realm with a focus on nature, responsive facades and a rooftop park.
One of the objectives for our visualisation strategy has been to convey the ambitious scale of the development whilst also creating images which capture the experiential, human moments which will bring the project to life in the hearts and minds of multiple audiences.
Our images explore the dualities inherent in a proposal for a thriving ecosystem of living and working, nature and city. They capture the hybridisation of old and new, combining heritage with contemporary ideas around the future of work, and explore the blurring of internal and external environments, bringing people and nature into closer proximity.
